Abbondanza in Italian!... Abundance….too much of a good thing in English!

All 14 of our concerts are at a level of excellence, but 10 of the 14 this season
were overloaded with world-class musical artists, both regional and international.
This is simply unimaginable for a small town concert series.
 
That is why our concert series is the highest ranked outdoor concert venue in the United States according to USA Today readers poll, where we placed #1 in 2023 and #2 in 2024.
 
It is hard to believe the amount of famous, multi award winning talent,
often two shows with superb artists performing in one concert, as well as the
great production which makes this concert series so distinctive. Just take a
look at these dates on the schedule: July 4th, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th,
July 26th, August 2nd, August 9th, August 16th, August 30th and September
6th and you will see why we are over the top making u,ps so popular and widely acclaimed.
 
The audiences have been the biggest ever and the reviews & compliments
are effusive.
 
In these times, however, the cost of talent, production, and lodging
for the artists is ever increasing.
 
Consequently, although we usually generate funds that exceed the cost of the concert series each season over the last 20 years, this year we face a manageable
shortfall between all of the monies collected and the cost of these concerts
which generate so much good will, excitement and business for The Somers
Point community on Friday nights.
 
Therefore, we are asking everyone to make supplemental contributions
or simply put more cash in the collections or write a check to Somers Point
Beach Concerts and drop that in the collections. You may also mail the check

Especially, however, we are reaching out to the approximately 70 great
sponsors we have developed over the last 20 years of service to the
community as your volunteer production team.
 
We gratefully ask your consideration helping The Somers Point Beach Concert committee to continue to maintain Somers Point as a star on the international
map of the greatest musical events presented for free on the gorgeous & unique small town setting of our beach.
 
Help us keep the good times rolling at this level of world class recognition for
the historic legacy of Somers Point.
